Baseball Game Preview: Westbrook Blue Blazes vs. Kennebunk Rams

The Westbrook Blue Blazes will square off against the Kennebunk Rams at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Westbrook is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

Westbrook fell victim to Cheverus and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 11-0 to the Stags.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Kennebunk). They came out on top against Massabesic by a score of 12-7 on Thursday. Considering the Rams' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

The team relied heavily on Brady Stone, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Joseph DiGiovanni, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

Kennebunk always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .537. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Kennebunk's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Westbrook, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
