Baseball Recap: Lacey Township Comes Up Short

Lacey Township was the 5-4 winner over Holmdel when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Lions fell just short of the Hornets by a score of 2-1 on Monday.

Lacey Township has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season. As for Holmdel, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lacey Township will welcome Brick Township at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Holmdel, they will challenge Matawan Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
