Baseball Recap: Western Hills Wolverines vs. Frankfort Christian Academy Royals
Western Hills took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Frankfort Christian Academy Royals with a sharp 18-3 victory. The Wolverines haven't had any issues with the Royals recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.
Cole Semones made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Semones was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in runs.

In other batting news, Western Hills let Noah Morris and Clay Devers run wild. Morris scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 2-for-2, while Devers scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Those two runs gave Devers a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Conner Marsh, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Western Hills always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .676. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Frankfort Christian Academy only posted an OBP of .389.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Western Hills will hit the road for the first time this season to take on Eminence at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Frankfort Christian Academy, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Great Crossing at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
