            Volleyball Recap: Wamego Red Raiders vs. Jefferson West Tigers        
        
		
        
        
            Wamego was the  2-1 winner over Jefferson West when they last played one another  back in October of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Red Raiders fell  2-0 to the Tigers on Saturday. The Red Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.
 Ryann Langvardt paced Wamego's offense, picking up eight kills. Langvardt got some help from  Marie McVay and her eight assists.  Emilly Crocker controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
 Among those leading the charge was   Payge Vetsch, who  had ten  digs, two  aces,  and one  block. Those  ten  digs gave  her a new career-high.
Wamego now  has a losing record of 9-10. As for Jefferson West, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record  this season.
 Wamego has already played their next match,  a  2-0  victory against Osage City on the 20th. As for Jefferson West, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  matchup,  a  2-1  defeat against Holton on the 20th.
