Volleyball Recap: St. Francis Comes Up Short

St. Francis lost against Homestead back in September of 2017 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Troubadours fell 2-0 to the Mustangs.

Layla Hernandez paced St. Francis' offense, picking up four kills. Hernandez were helped by Katie Kramer and Hiedi Vu, who contributed four assists each. Hailey Sutton controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Homestead's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lilian Logan, who had five digs and three aces. That's the most aces Logan has posted over her last six matchups.

St. Francis' loss dropped their record down to 24-7. As for Homestead, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-7.

St. Francis didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against St. Mary's on the 11th. As for Homestead, they have also already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Campolindo on the 11th.
