Orofino came tearing into Monday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 15-1 margin over the Troy Trojans. Considering the Maniacs have won eight games by more than nine runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Orofino's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-3. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Troy, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 2-3.

Looking ahead, Orofino will head out to take on Grangeville at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Maniacs will need to watch out since the Bulldogs have now posted at least ten runs in their last four matches. As for Troy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Genesee at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.67 runs per game on average), something the Trojans will no doubt try to take advantage of.
