Basketball Game Preview: West Sabine Tigers vs. Chireno Owls

West Sabine hasn't had much luck against Chireno recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The West Sabine Tigers will take on the Chireno Owls at 6:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as West Sabine comes in on six and Chireno on 11.

Last Tuesday, West Sabine got the win against Woden by a conclusive 43-22. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Chireno took their match on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 48-6 win over Corrigan-Camden. The Owls is also no stranger to big wins: their blowout was the 15 game they've won by 20+ points or more this season.

Chireno is also on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 33.5 points. As for West Sabine, they pushed their record up to 14-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

West Sabine took a serious blow against Chireno in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 48-20. Can West Sabine avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
