Basketball Recap: Thrive Charter Skates Past Life Center Academy with Ease

On Tuesday, everything came up roses for Thrive Charter against the Life Center Academy Warriors as the team secured a 66-31 win. Given Thrive Charter's advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 65th, while Life Center Academy is ranked 260th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Oui-Mia Wilkins continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 16 points and ten steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Heziah Kinston, who went 11 of 23 on her way to 18 points along with seven boards and three steals.

Thrive Charter has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.6 points per game. As for Life Center Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.

Thrive Charter didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 69-55 victory against Eastside on the 25th. Life Center Academy has also already played their next game (against Perkiomen School), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
