Soccer Game Preview: Combs vs. ALA - Gilbert North

The Combs Coyotes will challenge the ALA - Gilbert North Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Combs comes in on three and ALA - Gilbert North on five.

Last Tuesday, Combs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over Tempe. Izaak Jeffcoat had to tread lightly for part of the match after he was hit with a yellow card, but that was the only trouble the Coyotes got from the refs.

Combs hit Tempe with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Mckade Cobb, Andres C. Martinez, and Andy Acosta.

Meanwhile, ALA - Gilbert North made easy work of Estrella Foothills on Wednesday and carried off a 9-1 victory. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by three goals or more this season.

ALA - Gilbert North is also on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 52 goals over those ten contests. As for Combs, they pushed their record up to 10-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.
