Basketball Recap: Hayti Comes Up Short

Hayti was the 80-47 winner over Richland when they last played one another back in December of 2014, but their luck changed this time around. The Hayti Indians took a 64-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Richland Rebels. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Indians came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 59th, while the Rebels are ranked 220th).

Hayti's defeat dropped their record down to 14-4. As for Richland, their win bumped their record up to 13-10.

Coming up, Hayti will venture away from home to square off against Risco at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Risco will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something Hayti surely won't give up without a fight. As for Richland, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bernie at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
