Basketball Recap: Pinnacle Takes a Loss

Pinnacle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Monument Valley Cougars 72-33. That's two games in a row now that the Panthers have lost by exactly 39 points.

Dakotah Cly was her usual excellent self, putting up 20 points for Monument Valley. With that strong performance, Cly is now averaging an impressive 15 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylisa Tome, who posted 13 points.

Pinnacle's loss dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Monument Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 11-9 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Monticello the next time they take the court. Monument Valley will head out to face Monticello at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Pinnacle will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
