Basketball Recap: Jonathan Edwards Classical Academy Takes a Loss

Jonathan Edwards Classical Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 57-47 to the Clarksville Christian Centurions. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Archers of the 56-29 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2021.

Despite the loss, Jonathan Edwards Classical Academy still got an impressive performance from Noah Raby, who went 6 for 9 en route to 21 points. Raby's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lane Chaudoin, who posted 11 points.

Jonathan Edwards Classical Academy's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Clarksville Christian, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 6-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jonathan Edwards Classical Academy will head out to face off against Highland Rim Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Jonathan Edwards Classical Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.9 points per game this season. As for Clarksville Christian, they will venture away from home to take on Jonathan Edwards Classical Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
