Baseball Game Preview: Wenatchee Panthers vs. Eisenhower Cadets

The Wenatchee Panthers are taking a road trip to square off against the Eisenhower Cadets at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Wenatchee has seven straight victories, Eisenhower has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Wenatchee barely beat Sunnyside the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Panthers put the hurt on the Grizzlies with a sharp 18-1 win on Friday. That 17 run margin sets a new team best for the Panthers this season.

Nolan Godfrey was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-5. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Thomas Ivey, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Wenatchee always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .533. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .500 or higher in seven consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Eisenhower suffered their closest loss since April 19, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of Moses Lake by a score of 5-3.

Wenatchee pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.3 runs over those games. As for Eisenhower, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
