There's no place like home for Sylvan-Lucas, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Osborne Bulldogs on Saturday, sneaking past 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Mustangs have posted since September 27th.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Sylvan-Lucas who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 11-25, 25-17.

Dominique Davidson paced Sylvan-Lucas' offense, picking up seven kills. Davidson got some help from Lily Pancost and her seven assists. Pancost also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Harlee Nelson, each putting up four.

Despite the loss, Osborne saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Gentrie Riner had 13 digs.

Sylvan-Lucas has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-10 record this season. As for Osborne, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 18-14.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Sylvan-Lucas is set to take on their familiar foe Lakeside on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Osborne will challenge rival Rock Hills at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
