Basketball Recap: Lukas Worster Key Part of a Team Effort in Knights Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Shelby-Rising City, Nebraska Lutheran was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Hampton Hawks by a score of 59-46. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 51-44 last Tuesday.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Nebraska Lutheran to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lukas Worster, who went 5 for 12 to rack up 11 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Worster is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Dylan Hoehler, who almost dropped a double-double with 11 points and nine boards.

Despite the loss, Hampton still got an impressive performance from Porter Dose, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 15 points. What's more, Dose also posted a 50% field goal percentage, which is the highest he's posted since back in February of 2024. Wyatt Dose was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 13 points and nine rebounds.

Nebraska Lutheran is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 6-8 record this season. As for Hampton, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-14.

Nebraska Lutheran wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 66-39 loss against Cross County on the 4th. Hampton has also already played their next game (against Palmer), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
