It may have taken ten innings to finish the job, but Imperial ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They won by a run and slipped past the Mission Hills Grizzlies 2-1. Winning may never get old, but the Tigers sure are getting used to it with their ninth in a row.

Jayden Rutledge spent all ten innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on seven hits.

Imperial's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-2. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.4 runs over those games. As for Mission Hills, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-5.
