Volleyball Recap: Weddington Continues Home Dominance on Thursday

Weddington had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the T.C. Roberson Rams 3-0 on Thursday. The victory was familiar territory for the Warriors, who have now won four matchups in a row.

Weddington never let T.C. Roberson on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-23, 25-14.

Weddington was led to victory by Owen Conklin and Nithilan Velavan. Conklin had six digs and two aces, while Velavan had eight digs and two aces. Velavan is also crushing it when it comes to assists: he's posted at least 14 every time he's taken the court this season.

Weddington's win was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-3. As for T.C. Roberson, they moved to 12-3 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Weddington has already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Hough on the 17th. T.C. Roberson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
