Softball Recap: Industrial Comes Up Short

If Industrial was feeling good fresh off their 12-1 takedown of Rice Consolidated last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cobras fell 5-2 to the Hallettsville Brahmas on Tuesday. The Cobras were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Brahmas earlier this season, when they won 6-3.

Industrial saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ella Balensiefen, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Industrial's loss dropped their record down to 14-7-1. As for Hallettsville, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 21-4.

Industrial does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hallettsville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Sacred Heart at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Indians will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Brahmas surely won't give up without a fight.
