Baseball Game Preview: Altha Wildcats vs. Sneads Pirates

Altha hasn't had much luck against Sneads recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Altha will venture away from home to challenge Sneads at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Altha didn't have quite enough to beat Vernon and fell 8-7.

Austyn Poole made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Sneads was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 17-3 to Silverdale Academy.

Sneads saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Creed Whitworth, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI.

Altha's loss dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Sneads, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9.

Everything went Altha's way against Sneads in their previous matchup back in February, as Altha made off with an 11-4 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Altha since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
