Volleyball Recap: St. Joseph's Catholic Comes Up Short

St. Joseph's Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the James Island Trojans. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trojans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

St. Joseph's Catholic's offense was headlined by OLIVIA PATTERSON and KATY GERNON, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from EMI REESE HAND and her nine assists. TIFFANY HELMER and LONDYN WOODS kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

St. Joseph's Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for James Island, their win bumped their record up to 8-4.

St. Joseph's Catholic didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against River Bluff on the 30th. James Island has also already played their next game (against Hilton Head Island), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
