Baseball Recap: Fort Wayne Northrop Comes Up Short

Fort Wayne Northrop extended their losing streak to eight on Friday, dropping their season record down to 1-14 in the process. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian Braves. The Bruins were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Braves apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Fort Wayne Northrop saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Malachi Williams, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

As for Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-4. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games.

On Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian's side, Max Warner was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.
