Preview: Leakey Eagles vs. Knippa Crushers
Leakey is 8-2 against Knippa since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Leakey Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Knippa Crushers at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
On Friday, Leakey ended up a good deal behind Nueces Canyon and lost 42-27.
Meanwhile, Knippa's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 57-26 loss at the hands of Nueces Canyon. Knippa has struggled against Nueces Canyon recently, as their match on Tuesday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Leakey has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Knippa, their loss was their 12th straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-10.
Everything came up roses for Leakey against Knippa in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 as the team secured a 58-21 win. With Leakey ahead 34-6 at the half, the game was all but over already.
