Polson's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They really took it to the Ronan Chiefs for the full four quarters, racking up a 48-8 victory. The Pirates haven't had any issues with the Chiefs recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Polson to victory, but perhaps none more so than Daniel O'Roake, who rushed for 85 yards and a pair of TDs on only six carries. They were just one part of a punishing run game: Polson was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 215 rushing yards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their rushing yard total in three consecutive contests.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Polson's defense and their three sacks. The team can thank two different players for their defensive prowess: John/Jack Sherry and Cody Haggard, who each picked up 1.5 sacks apiece.

Polson's victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 3-5. As for Ronan, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-9.
