Baseball Game Preview: Winterset Huskies vs. Greene County Rams

Winterset has gone a perfect 8-0 against Greene County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Huskies will take on the Rams at 7:30 p.m. Winterset's pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so Greene County's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Winterset's last matchup with Gilbert could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Monday. The Huskies lost 6-0 to the Tigers. The Huskies just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Greene County). They walked away with an 11-6 victory over South Hamilton on Monday.

Winterset's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Greene County, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.

Winterset came out on top in a nail-biter against Greene County when the teams last played back in June of 2025, sneaking past 6-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Huskies since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
