Soccer Recap: Lovington Comes Up Short

Lovington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 5-0 to the Santa Teresa Desert Warriors. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Lovington of the 4-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Lovington's loss dropped their record down to 0-9-1. As for Santa Teresa, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-5.

Lovington wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 4-0 victory against Chaparral on the 20th. As for Santa Teresa, they will challenge Ruidoso at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
