Softball Recap: Mamou Comes Up Short

While it was Mamou who put the first runs on the board on Saturday, it was Notre Dame who put up more. The Demons lost 8-1 to the Pioneers. The Demons haven't had much luck with the Pioneers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Mamou's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Notre Dame, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 23-2.

Looking ahead, Mamou will square off against Basile at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bearcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.82 runs per game on average), something the Demons will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Notre Dame, they will host Erath at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
