Liberty-Benton saw some tournament action on Friday. They walked away with a 57-50 victory over Edison. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 79th, while the Chargers are ranked 601st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Genoa Area's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Otsego on Friday. Genoa Area took their matchup with ease, bagging a 66-24 win over Galion. The Comets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 21 points or more this season.

Liberty-Benton is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-2 record this season. Genoa Area pushed their record up to 18-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.
