Baseball Game Preview: Madison Trojans vs. Village Tech Viper Squid

For the second straight game, Madison will face off against Village Tech. The Trojans will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Viper Squid at 5:00 p.m. Madison is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.

Madison lost 8-1 to Village Tech on Tuesday.

For Village Tech's part, Alessandro Ontiveros spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up eight Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Andrew May, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Sotelo, who scored a run.

Village Tech has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.8 runs over those games. As for Madison, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.
