Volleyball Recap: West Grand Turns Things Around After Road Loss + How To Watch

There's no place like home for West Grand, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Hayden Tigers on Friday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in August.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: West Grand took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-12, 25-14.

Their offense was headlined by Jocelyn Holmes and Brooke Terryberry, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from Matti Hayes and her 21 assists. She also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Karla Gonzalez, each putting up four.

West Grand is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. As for Hayden, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season.

West Grand has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 defeat against Caprock Academy on the 1st. Hayden does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
