Volleyball Recap: Fernley Victorious

Fernley won the last time they faced South Tahoe and things went their way on Saturday too. The Vaqueros had just enough and edged out the Vikings 2-1.

Fernley found their leader in freshman Jocelyn Escartin, who had 11 digs and two aces. Those 11 digs set a new season-high mark for Escartin.

Fernley was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Fernley's win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Coincidentally, Fernley and South Tahoe will both be playing Elko the next time they take the court. The Vaqueros will host the Indians at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Vikings will play them later in the day, at 12:00 p.m.
