Baseball Recap: Derry Takes a Loss

Derry started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Central Mountain. They fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 10-8 on Saturday. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Parker Petrosky was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Mason Fridley was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Derry's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Derry didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 7-5 victory against Ligonier Valley on the 24th. As for Central Mountain, they have also already played their next game, a 10-4 win against DuBois on the 24th.
