Football Game Preview: Lakeland Preparatory Lions vs. Craigmont Chiefs + Official Tickets

The Lakeland Preparatory Lions will face off against the Craigmont Chiefs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams were dealt some close losses in their previous games and are determined not to let this one get away.

Lakeland Preparatory easily dispatched Ridgeway on October 3rd, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Lions fell just short of Kirby by a score of 29-27 last Friday.

Despite the defeat, Lakeland Preparatory got top-tier performance from Brett Godwin, who threw for 205 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in one score on the ground. Colten Kirby helped Godwin out on the ground, rushing for 144 yards.

Meanwhile, Craigmont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-6 heartbreaker at the hands of Ridgeway.

Craigmont's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Lakeland Preparatory, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 3-5.
