While Brick Memorial's win against Brick Township wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Mustangs narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Dragons 6-4. The win continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Dragons: they've now won three in a row.

Avery Nalducci spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on four hits and racked up 16 Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than 11 strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Brick Memorial saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emma Naples, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.

Brick Memorial's record now sits at 6-13. As for Brick Township, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-6.

Coming up, Brick Memorial will square off against Freehold Boro at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Brick Township, they will face off against Lakewood at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
