Ganado turns things around after tough road loss

There's no place like home for the Ganado Hornets, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Monday. They secured a 61-57 W over Tuba City on Thursday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

Ganado had a senior duo take command as Grant Paddock scored 19 points along with seven blocks and five rebounds and Wyatt James scored 22 points along with five assists and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points James has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ethan Billy, who scored three points along with six rebounds and four steals.

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tyrell Begaye, who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Tsinnie, who scored 13 points.

Ganado has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-15 record this season. As for Tuba City, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-18.

Ganado won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Chinle at 7:30 p.m. on February 9th. Hopefully Ganado focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 40 on Thursday. Tuba City does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
