Volleyball Recap: Mountain View Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Mountain View came into Wednesday's match having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Susquehanna Sabers on Wednesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

While Mountain View might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Susquehanna scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-23, 23-25, 25-19.

Mountain View's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Addison Kilmer led the charge by getting 21 kills, nine digs, and eight blocks. Kilmer is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now had two or more in each of the last 18 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Aubrey Sanders, who had ten kills, three digs, and three aces.

Mountain View's win bumped their record up to 9-12. As for Susquehanna, they dropped their record down to 6-13 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Coming up, Mountain View will host Mid Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Susquehanna, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Elk Lake on the 16th.
