Landrum waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They came out on top against the Blacksburg Wildcats by a score of 65-57. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 70-58 back in January.

Landrum's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Benett Edwards, who went 5 for 10 to rack up 14 points in addition to eight boards and five assists. The dominant performance also gave Edwards a new career-high in blocks (four). Cooper Tidwell was another key player, putting up 14 points and six rebounds.

Landrum smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in four consecutive games.

Blacksburg's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Saad Lavender, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 15 boards. Another player making a difference was Cameron Cobb, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 15 rebounds.

Landrum pushed their record up to 17-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.0 points over those games. As for Blacksburg, their loss dropped their record down to 7-13.

Landrum didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 74-71 victory against Chesnee on the 7th. As for Blacksburg, they have also already played their next matchup, a 61-49 win against Brashier Middle College Charter on the 7th.
