Volleyball Recap: Oak Grove Comes Up Short in High-Profile Game with Purvis

Oak Grove faced Purvis in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Warriors fell 2-0 to the Tornadoes. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Tornadoes recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

While Oak Grove had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-18.

Oak Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Purvis, they pushed their record up to 11-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Oak Grove has already played their next match (against Brandon), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Purvis, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Gulfport on the 23rd.
