Volleyball Recap: Cocoa Beach Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Cocoa Beach was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Brevard HEAT Firehawks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Minutemen of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Cocoa Beach took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-12, 25-14.

Elizabeth Butera paced Cocoa Beach's offense, picking up six kills. Butera got some help from Tayber Diffenthal and her seven assists.

Cocoa Beach's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Brevard HEAT, they pushed their record up to 8-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Cocoa Beach will head out to square off against The Villages Charter on Friday. As for Brevard HEAT, they will welcome Rockledge at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
