Meanwhile, Boone Grove had already won 11 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.9 runs) and they went ahead and made it 12 on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Bearcats with a sharp 12-2 victory. Considering the Wolves have won 17 matches by more than six runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Javy Carrera made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. In other batting news, Seth Pitcock and Caleb Thomas did most of the damage at the plate: Pitcock went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Thomas went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That stolen base was Thomas' first of the season. Maxwell Truby was another key player, going 1-for-2 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

Hebron's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-10-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Boone Grove, their record is now 22-5.

Hebron might still be hurting after the 12-3 loss they got from Boone Grove in their previous matchup back in April. Can the Hawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
