Soccer Game Preview: Fike vs. Richlands

The Fike Demons will square off against the Richlands Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Fike's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Smithfield-Selma 8-0. The result kept the Demons happy, as they haven't lost a game since March 7th.

Meanwhile, Richlands got the win against Washington on Tuesday by a conclusive 5-0. The Wildcats' winning goal came courtesy of Kamrey Watkins.

Fike is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-3-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those five contests. Richlands now has a winning record of 5-4-1.

Everything went Fike's way against Richlands in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, as Fike made off with a 5-1 victory. Will Fike repeat their success, or does Richlands have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
