Softball Recap: Mt. Pleasant's Winning Streak Snapped at Six Games

After a string of six wins, Mt. Pleasant's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 8-3 to the Burrell Bucs. The Vikings were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bucs earlier this season, when they won 9-3.

Mt. Pleasant saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ella Alakson 2025, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Mt. Pleasant's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 8-4. As for Burrell, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Mt. Pleasant is set to challenge their familiar foe Deer Lakes at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Burrell will take on rival Ligonier Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
