Softball Game Preview: Edsel Ford Thunderbirds vs. Trenton Trojans

Edsel Ford hasn't had much luck against Trenton recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Thunderbirds will head out to square off against the Trojans at 4:00 p.m. Edsel Ford has given up an average of 12.3 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Edsel Ford is headed into Wednesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Monday. They came up short against Woodhaven, falling 16-1.

Meanwhile, Trenton beat Taylor 6-2 on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Trojans.

Sofia Klug spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on six hits and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Analy Guth, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Olivia Soens, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI.

Trenton's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Edsel Ford, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.
