Baseball Recap: Romeoville Picks Up Second Consecutive Win

Romeoville won against Joliet West on Thursday with four runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Saturday. The Spartans beat the Kaneland Knights by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 4-2. This was payback for the Spartans, who suffered a 9-7 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The win made it two in a row for Romeoville and bumps their season record up to 15-12. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of two runs across that stretch. As for Kaneland, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 16-9.

Looking ahead, Romeoville will head out on the road to square off against Joliet Central at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Spartans are facing the Steelmen at the right time seeing as the Steelmen are stuck on a 20-game losing streak. As for Kaneland, they will be playing in front of their home fans against LaSalle-Peru at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
