Basketball Recap: Alief Elsik Comes Up Short

The Alief Elsik Rams didn't have quite enough to beat the Conroe Tigers on Friday and fell 40-37. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Conroe got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Riley Gross out in front who shot 83% from the field en route to 11 points and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Taylor Smith, who posted ten points.

Alief Elsik now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Conroe, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-3 record.

Alief Elsik wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 43-29 win against Cypress Falls on the 25th. As for Conroe, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 44-22 loss against King on the 24th.
