Baseball Recap: Princeton Extends Winning Streak to Four

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Thursday as neither Princeton nor Erie-Prophetstown made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Tigers' pitcher stepped up to hand the Panthers a 3-0 shutout. The victory was nothing new for the Tigers as they're now sitting on four straight.

Not much got past Jordan Reinhardt, who gave up just seven hits to keep Erie-Prophetstown off the board. Reinhardt has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Ace Christiansen was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and one double. Another player making a difference was Ryan Jagers, who went 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Princeton's record is now 6-4-1. As for Erie-Prophetstown, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Princeton will square off against rival Riverdale at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Erie-Prophetstown is set to challenge their familiar foe Mendota at 4:30 p.m. on May 5.
