Volleyball Recap: James Valley Christian Takes a Loss

James Valley Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Hitchcock-Tulare Patriots, falling 3-0. The Vikings were not able to make up for their loss to the Patriots from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-16, 25-11.

Among those leading the charge was Cambree Hoekman, who had 12 digs. She has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last seven times she's played.

James Valley Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Hitchcock-Tulare, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, James Valley Christian and Howard will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:30 p.m. on the 15th. As for Hitchcock-Tulare, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Faulkton at 7:30 p.m.
