Volleyball Recap: Georgetown Royals vs. North Reading Hornets

Georgetown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the North Reading Hornets, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hornets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-14, 25-14.

Among those leading the charge was Grace Fagner, who had seven digs and three aces. Those seven digs gave her a new career-high. Julia Pemberton also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Georgetown's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for North Reading, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 14-1.

Looking ahead, Georgetown will be playing in front of their home fans against Peabody Veterans Memorial at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for North Reading, they will venture away from home to challenge Lynnfield at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
