The matchup between Conrad Weiser and Governor Mifflin on Monday hardly resembled the 2-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Scouts put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 23-8 victory. The Scouts' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Macy Snyder was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.

In other batting news, Madison Derfler was a standout: she scored four runs and stole four bases while going 5-for-5. Those five hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Alex Trevena, who went 3-for-4 with four runs, two stolen bases, and four RBI.

The win got Conrad Weiser back to even at 6-6. As for Governor Mifflin, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Conrad Weiser will take on Hamburg at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with the Scouts sitting on three straight victories and the Hawks on four. As for Governor Mifflin, they will face off against Muhlenberg at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Mustangs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Muhls have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season.
