Basketball Recap: Bethesda-Chevy Chase Barons vs. Walter Johnson Wildcats

The Bethesda-Chevy Chase Barons can now show off ten landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They blew past Walter Johnson 57-35. The victory was nothing new for Bethesda-Chevy Chase as they're now sitting on four straight.

It was another big night for Frances Doyle, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Jaylin Harried was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.

Walter Johnson's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Norah Youssef, who scored 15 points, and Kendall Alexander who scored eight points along with four steals. Alexander is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last six games she's played.

Bethesda-Chevy Chase's win was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.2 points per game. As for Walter Johnson, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-6.

Coincidentally, Bethesda-Chevy Chase and the Wildcats will both be playing the Patriots the next time they take the court. Walter Johnson will head out to face Wootton at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, while Bethesda-Chevy Chase will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
