Softball Recap: Northern Nash Wins Going Away Against Nash Central

Northern Nash's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Nash Central Bulldogs with a sharp 18-10 victory. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won eight games by six runs or more so far this season.

Kasey Burden made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched six innings while giving up three earned (and seven unearned) runs off eight hits. What's more, she posted four strikeouts, the most she's had since back in March. She was even better at the plate, getting on base in four of her six plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple marked the first that she hit this season.

In other batting news, Kailey Burden was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing a base while getting on base in four of her six plate appearances. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in March. Another player making a difference was Hayley Moss, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-5.

Northern Nash lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Northern Nash moved to 9-7 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Nash Central, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

Coming up, Northern Nash will challenge Southern Nash at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Nash Central, they will take on Princeton at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
